OCTAVA ensemble has soon gained a leading position among the country's growing number of chamber ensembles, and has been, by the critics, hailed one of the most promising and interesting Polish vocal ensembles of the young generation. Its repertoire includes pieces of all music styles and epochs, from medieval music to contemporary pieces, from classical music to jazz-and-pop mélange.

OCTAVA ensemble (vocal octet) has gained acclaim of the jurors of the most significant festivals and competitions both within the country and abroad, and it has been awarded the highest prizes, to mention only the Grand Prix of the 39th edition of "Legnica Cantat", the most prestigious prize in choir music in Poland, and the Grand Prix of the 10th edition of "Cantio Lodziensis" (winning over 30 other ensembles from around the country), and many, many others.

OCTAVA ensemble takes part in numerous music festivals, concerts and artistic projects, and it cooperates with various cultural institutions within the country.

The ensemble prides itself in its vocal versatility and ambition. It has offered the premiere performances of various Polish and foreign pieces. It has also participated in numerous recordings for renown Polish record labels (one of the records was nominated to FRYDERYK 2010 Award). Each performance is widely acclaimed by both the critics and the public.

The Capella Cracoviensis Choir artistic director, Zygmunt Magiera is responsible for the ensemble's directory of art.
